Allison Marino
Board ChairAllison Marino (she/her) is a macro social worker enthusiastically promoting social justice and dismantling barriers to equity with communities across NYC. Her professional experience includes nonprofit management and development in addition to policy advising, advocacy, and organizing. She is currently the Director of External Affairs at Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter, Inc.
Allison has also served in vital roles at community organizations including Edible Schoolyard NYC, Housing Works, and as the inaugural Macro Social Work Fellow for the NYC Mayor’s Office of Sustainability under the De Blasio administration.
Allison is also currently serving as the President of the Board of Drag Artists for Expression NYC (formerly Drag Story Hour NYC), and is a supporter of her local community fridge network. Allison holds a Master of Social Work degree in Human Service Leadership & Macropractice from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service, and an undergraduate degree from The George Washington University, where she majored in Communication and minored in Jewish Studies, with a focus on Holocaust studies and public memory.
