Equity Advocates is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Our independence allows us to advocate boldly and effectively for a more just food system—alongside the community leaders, advocates, and organizations most impacted by food inequity.

Since our founding, Equity Advocates has worked to ensure that New York City’s food policies are shaped by those working every day to create an equitable, sustainable food system and build community power.

Your contribution is a commitment to a New York where all people not only have access to healthy, affordable, and culturally appropriate food—but also have power within the food system, benefiting from it as a source of dignity, wealth, and opportunity.. With your support, Equity Advocates is able to lead powerful coalitions, conduct policy development, deliver advocacy training, and bring the voices of food justice leaders directly to decision-makers.

Our work leads to systemic change—policies and investments that move us closer to a food system rooted in equity, sustainability, and justice.

Thank you for your support—together, we are building a New York where food justice is a reality for all.
